Established in 2008 by Dr. Herbert A. Lederer (ISU ‘58) in memory of his father and mother. Awarded to a student with an interest in companion animal medicine and who has high moral character as demonstrated by leadership, responsibility, trustworthiness and caring attitude both inside and outside the classroom.

My goal is to become a board-certified small animal surgeon. I love everything about surgery and that it’s constantly changing, which allows me to adapt and modify.
