Established by Dr. Dennis and Mary Somers in 2017. Dr. Dennis Somers earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 1972. He enjoyed a successful practice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He and his wife, Mary, established this scholarship to assist veterinary students further their education at Iowa State.

At this point, I think that I would enjoy working for a state or federal agency focusing on population disease research but plan to keep an open mind and consider all jobs available to me.
