Established by Dr. and Mrs. John G. Salsbury (ISU ‘40) in 1981 in memory of Dr. Margaret W. Sloss (ISU ‘38). Awarded for outstanding ability and contribution to the College of Veterinary Medicine and students. The award is presented to an undergraduate female student entering the fourth year.

I have always wanted to help both people and animals. Thanks to the education I am receiving from ISU College of Veterinary Medicine, I will be fully prepared to do that as a career.
