Established in 2018 by the College of Veterinary Medicine to honor the personal merits and attributes of Patterson (DVM’23, MS’27) who served as the president of Tuskegee Institute and is the founder of the United Negro College Fund. Given to a student entering the professional DVM program with preference to underrepresented students. This scholarship may be renewed as long as the student remains in good standing.

My goal is to become a shelter veterinarian where I help my community and the animals within it, receive the care they need and deserve.
