Established in 2018 by the College of Veterinary Medicine to honor the personal merits and attributes of Patterson (DVM’23, MS’27) who served as the president of Tuskegee Institute and is the founder of the United Negro College Fund. Given to a student entering the professional DVM program with preference to underrepresented students. This scholarship may be renewed as long as the student remains in good standing.

My passion in veterinary medicine is emergency medicine. I hope to one day be board-certified in emergency and critical care, allowing me to sharpen my critical thinking skills and provide the best care possible.
