Established in 2013 by Lora and Russ Talbot for third-year veterinary students, this scholarship is based on demonstrated financial need, graduation from an Iowa high school, and preference given to first-generation college students. It provides two-year scholarships for two students. Each year a new third-year student will be selected, and the scholarship will be automatically renewed for that student’s fourth year with an increased award, provided minimum standards are maintained.

After graduation I hope to move back to rural Iowa and serve the communities I grew up in. I am so thankful to be a part of such a great profession.
