Established in 2009 by Barbara Merrill in honor of her father, Dr. Robert A. Merrill, a graduate in the Class of 1926. Given to a student with an interest in large animal medicine.

My passion lies within food and production animal medicine, I am currently employed by the federal government in food safety and security. I hope to ensure food animal products are safe and humanely harvested.
