Established in 1999 by Dr. Eldon and Mrs. Patty Uhlenhopp to recognize one student for his/her accomplishments in informing and influencing public policy and to assist that student in gaining additional significant experience in this field. Based on scholarship, leadership and interest as demonstrated by a written application.

I truly enjoy our ability as veterinarians to work with, and treat, many species. I am excited to pursue a career in mixed animal medicine upon graduation and look forward to being involved in advocacy.
