Given to a student entering the professional DVM program with preference to underrepresented students. This scholarship may be renewed as long as the student remains in good standing.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/sa-2022\/Photos\/Illescas_Amber_web.jpg\" alt=\"Amber Illescas\" class=\"center-block sa_recipient_img\"><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div  class=\"text-center sa_recipient_info\"><b>Recipient: Amber Illescas (VM4) &#8211; Los Angeles, California <\/b>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"sa_passion_statement\">I will become a board-certified surgeon or anesthetist and will also continue to work towards diversity and inclusion within veterinary medicine.
