Established in 1999 by Dr. Eldon and Mrs. Patty Uhlenhopp to recognize one student for his/her accomplishments in informing and influencing public policy and to assist that student in gaining additional significant experience in this field. Based on scholarship, leadership and interest as demonstrated by a written application.

I am pursuing small animal emergency/shelter medicine with an interest in specializing. I am currently exploring all of my options as a rising VM2, and am finding large animal medicine intriguing as well.
