Established in 2008 by Dr. Herbert A. Lederer (ISU ’58) in memory of his father and mother. Awarded to a student with an interest in companion animal medicine and who has high moral character as demonstrated by leadership, responsibility, trustworthiness and caring attitude both inside and outside the classroom.

I have always wanted to work in veterinary medicine and become a doctor. ISU has given me the opportunity and I can’t wait to see where my doctorate will take me!
