Established by Dr. Dennis and Mary Somers in 2017. Dr. Dennis Somers earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 1972. He enjoyed a successful practice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He and his wife, Mary, established this scholarship to assist veterinary students further their education at Iowa State.

I hope to work at a small town small animal clinic, or maybe an emergency medicine hospital! I really hope to travel, but eventually come back to Iowa.
