David R. Helland, DVM ’64 and Wealtha Helland Scholarships in Veterinary Medicine

Dr. David R. Helland is a 1964 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. Dr. Helland is establishing this scholarship to support students in the College of Veterinary Medicine and to honor his family and the profession.

I have a passion for working with livestock, especially cattle, and I hope to work directly with producers in a private practice once I’m out of school. I’ve also taken a liking for pathology!
